UCN Gallery Spotlights Female Empowerment in New 'Muses' Exhibition - AI Generated Image
A thought-provoking new collection has taken over the walls at the University College of the North (UCN) Thompson Campus, inviting the community to rethink how society defines value and beauty.
The exhibition, titled “Muses,” features a series of oil paintings by artist Martine Bilodeau. The collection is currently on display and will remain open to the public until Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
Reflecting on Self-Worth Bilodeau’s work delves deep into the female experience, specifically exploring the “societal shaping of young girls’ self-perception”. Through the medium of oil paint, the series advocates for a shift in focus toward “intrinsic worth and inner muse,” challenging the external pressures often placed on young women.
