The Thompson Public Library is looking to turn its quiet corners into a lively venue, issuing an open call this week for local performers to step into the spotlight.

According to a new search notice posted by the library, organizers are looking for singers, comedians, and bands interested in potentially performing “small shows” at the facility.

A New Kind of Library Volume: While libraries are traditionally known for their silence, this initiative suggests a move toward more dynamic community programming. The library is inviting local talent to reach out and “chat about the opportunity” to bring live entertainment to their space.

How to Get Involved: Artists interested in gigging at the library are asked to email the Programmer directly at programming@thompsonlibrary.com to discuss possibilities.
