The City of Thompson has released its 2026 garbage and recycling collection schedule, outlining pickup days by neighbourhood for this week. Residents are reminded that there is no street parking permitted on their designated garbage day.

The schedule assigns each neighbourhood a numbered collection day.

• Westwood falls on Day 1 – Monday, March 2, 2026
• Burntwood on Day 2 – Tuesday, March 3, 2026
• Riverside and Deerwood on Day 3 – Wednesday, March 4, 2026
• Eastwood on Day 4 – Thursday, March 5, 2026
• Juniper, Southwood, and Burntwood Trailer Court on Day 5 – Friday, March 6, 2026

Recycling is collected on the same day as garbage. The City of Thompson asks that bins be placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on collection day and removed by the end of the day. Residents with questions about the schedule can contact City Hall for more information.
