Residents struggling with the loss of a loved one are being offered a safe space to heal, as Gateway Bible Baptist Church kicks off a new 13-week support program tonight.

According to the church’s announcement, the GriefShare Support Group begins today, Thursday, January 8, 2026, running from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 159 Cree Road. The program is designed to offer “comfort, hope, and a caring community” for those navigating the difficult journey of grief.

What to Expect: The weekly Thursday sessions will provide attendees with practical tools for healing and a supportive environment to share their experiences. The topic for the initial sessions is expected to explore the theme: “Is This Normal?”.

Accessibility Options: To ensure the program is accessible to everyone, the church is offering free rides to the venue. Residents needing transportation are asked to call 204-677-3000 before 5:30 p.m. to arrange a pickup.

Registration is available online, and the group welcomes new members to join at any point during the 13-week schedule, which runs through April 2.
