Manitoba Government Posts New Job Openings in Thompson
The Manitoba government has announced several new job opportunities in Thompson, offering positions across a variety of departments including justice, natural resources, housing, and family services.
As of October 2, listings on the provincial job portal show positions such as:
- Sheriff’s Officer with Manitoba Justice (closing October 12).
- Area Fire Manager with Natural Resources and Indigenous Futures (closing October 15).
- Intake Officer with the Manitoba Advocate for Children and Youth (closing October 9).
- Regional Fire Technician with Natural Resources and Indigenous Futures (closing October 19).
- Maintenance Assistant with Housing, Addictions and Homelessness (closing October 31).
Other roles open in Thompson and the surrounding region include Direct Support Provider, Crown Attorney, Indigenous Traditional Ceremony Provider, and Maintenance Worker. Several of these postings remain open until filled.
The government job portal highlights that many of these opportunities are designed to support justice services, wildfire management, housing, and community programs in northern Manitoba.
