NiCAN Limited has announced the commencement of follow-up diamond drilling at its Pipy South Property in Thompson, Manitoba, targeting the expansion of a new gold discovery and nickel-bearing massive sulphide zones identified during its 2025 exploration program.
The program is planned for approximately 2,500 metres of drilling in 12 to 15 holes. The property is located 10 to 20 kilometres northeast of Thompson.
“We are very excited to begin our follow-up drilling program at Pipy South,” said Brad Humphrey, CEO of NiCAN Limited. “The 2025 program delivered outstanding results, including gold mineralization and nickel-bearing massive sulphides, and we look forward to expanding on these discoveries.”
Highlights from the 2025 program include a nickel intersection of 1.45 metres averaging 1.53% Ni, as well as gold mineralization interpreted to occur within a steeply dipping anticlinal structure extending approximately 1.7 kilometres north-south.
NiCAN recently tripled its land position at the Pipy South Property ahead of this season’s program. The company holds an Exploration Agreement with the Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation (NCN) covering the project area.
