Thompson Boat Launches to Temporarily Close for Repairs July 7–August 25

Boaters in Thompson should prepare for temporary closures of the Burntwood River boat launches as Manitoba Hydro carries out repairs to ensure safe public access and navigation.

The alternate access boat launch behind the Royal Canadian Legion will be closed from Monday, July 7, through Tuesday, July 29. After that, the main public access boat launch behind Popeye’s will close from Wednesday, July 30, until approximately Monday, August 25.

While repairs are underway, the open launch site will serve as the designated access point for the public. In the event of an emergency, Thompson Fire & Emergency Services will be given priority access to either launch.
