
Thompson: Free Tax Filing and ID Services Coming to TRCC on October 15 - AI Generated Image
Residents of Thompson will have the opportunity to access a range of free financial and government services next Wednesday, October 15, at the Thompson Regional Community Centre (TRCC). The event, organized by the Northern Health Region, runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the TRCC gym.
The ID and Financial Access Event will feature several community and government partners, including Community Financial Counselling Services, which will offer free tax filing and benefit application assistance. Clients only need to bring their SIN number to access the service.
Other services available at the event include free Manitoba birth certificate applications, assistance with health card updates, and information from Service Canada and the Canada Revenue Agency. Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak will assist with status card applications, while JA Canada and Assiniboine Credit Union will provide financial literacy resources and career readiness information for youth.
Routine immunizations and sexual health education will also be available between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
