The Thompson Public Library has announced a full lineup of programs taking place next week, offering activities for families, youth, and adults throughout the community.
The weekly Storytime sessions continue on Tuesdays at 11:15 a.m. and Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. Children can listen to a story and take part in a craft activity with the library’s programmer. All ages are welcome, with parent supervision required for children under 12.
A Macrame Keychains workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, November 18th, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. The session is open to ages 14 and older at a cost of $2 per person. Participants will learn basic knots and complete a keychain to take home. The library notes that some spaces are still available.
The library will also host Holiday Photoshoots on Tuesday, November 18th from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Wednesday, November 19th, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Families can have their photo taken in front of a winter backdrop, with digital copies emailed afterward. Each group session costs $5, and payment must be made at the front desk to reserve a time slot.
For parents and caregivers, Parent and Tots will take place Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The program provides a parent-led space for families to meet others, socialise, and give young children a chance to play indoors during the colder months. All parents and ages are welcome.
The library’s weekly Crochet Club continues every Saturday from 3:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. The group is open to all skill levels and welcomes anyone interested in crochet, knitting, drawing, or similar creative activities. Attendees can learn new skills or bring projects to share.
The library also confirmed it will be participating in the upcoming Santa Parade on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025. Staff encourage residents to watch for the library’s parade entry downtown and to stop by the library afterward for warm drinks and a craft activity.
