The Thompson Regional Community Centre (TRCC) has officially begun promoting merchandise for the 2026 Manitoba Winter Games, signaling a key phase in building local enthusiasm and fundraising for the upcoming multi-sport event.

As the city prepares to host over 1,500 athletes and hundreds of officials from March 1-7, 2026, the sale of official apparel aims to foster community pride and generate financial support. The merchandise collection, which includes hoodies, t-shirts, and other branded items, is now available for order.

Residents can purchase items through an online store, with the order deadline set for Thursday, January 15, 2026. Organizers emphasize that no late orders will be accepted to ensure timely delivery, which is expected within four weeks of the store’s closing.

This initiative marks Thompson’s third time hosting the provincial winter games, having previously welcomed the province’s young athletes in 1994 and 2018. The 2026 event is powered by Manitoba Hydro and will feature competitions across 12 sports.
