Thompson residents are invited to take the chilliest dip of the year, as the Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge returns to support Special Olympics Manitoba.
After a successful event in 2025, organizers have confirmed the plunge will be back at the Paint Lake Marina on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
Event Schedule Participants should be ready for an early start:
- Registration: Opens at 9:00 a.m..
- The Plunge: Begins promptly at 10:00 a.m..
Why Freeze? The event is a major fundraiser for Special Olympics Manitoba, with all proceeds going to support athletes with intellectual disabilities. Participants are encouraged to register early and start collecting pledges to “freeze for a good cause”.
